Recognising the lonely journeys entrepreneurs undertake in the bid to make their ideas happen, and the consequent detours on such roads, L'AINE Foundation has added a mentoring component to its entrepreneurship programmes.
The mentorship programme will provide guidance and support to aspiring entrepreneurs, with practical assistance in:
A mentor in this sense is a very experienced entrepreneur, who has chalked sustained successes in his business, and can provide advice, insights and directions to start-ups in his industry or analogous industries. He is as it were, an experienced guide holding the hands of a less experienced person on the road the mentor had travelled on several times, his familiar territory.
In this segment we build a network of mentors, to whom we link young entrepreneurs on our programme so they could assist the young entrepreneurs to grow. Since many of the mentors are retired business people and professionals or very established business people, the Foundation pays them some allowances.
